Completely Renovated and Quite Nice

This golf course stretched out from the tips to the back of the greens might measure a bit over 6100 yards. That yardage is hardly considered long but the greens are pretty nice and fairly quick at times. The hybrid Bermuda greens when cut and rolled properly are challenging for sure but can become bumpy and grainy when not maintained. The rough presents an extra challenge for sure on many of the holes so avoid it for sure. The sand traps need a little more care and consistency and are hazards for sure so definitely avoid them like the plaque. The front 9 is more challenging in my opinion as water is most definitely a factor on holes 4, 7, and 9. Hole # 4 is the only hole with out of bounds to the right but still not in play for most players. The back 9 presents water only on the 10th, but OB is in play on 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18; however, it is shorter in length, and only has one par 5. With 3 par 5's and 5 par 3's the par is 70. As far as Memphis city owned public golf courses go, this one is the prettiest by far. Everyone can have a great time on this course, especially amateurs. Greens fees are $39 on weekends with a cart. Micky Barber is the head pro and a very fine pro for sure. Enjoy!!!
