Alfred's Bar & Grill on Beale, Memphis

I used to frequent Memphis due to business and had found many favorite local spots through the years. I don't have to travel there as often now but still end up there about once or twice a year. Once this was one of the best. Great food, great people, and great entertainment. This place has gone downhill since I visited last year. My food was cold and when I sent it back the waiter was rude and seemed bothered that I expected my food "hot." He also took forever to return with my food. I guess the girl that used to be there on kareoke nights is gone. She was one of the best singers I have ever heard in my life and was sweet as could be to boot. There was some other very rude lady when I visited there Tuesday who had a terrible personality with the looks to match. She was so mean that I left and will never return. Between the horrible food and unheard of behavior by the new kareoke troll I can't recommend enough to stay away. -JB
