Fabulous trip--A warm Carolina Welcome!
By ,
Fabulous trip we took this week----I had to laugh, the review below said they were COLD?? The temp was in the 90;s in August.all month.....go figure, what are they talking about? We had such a good time, our guide was full of great tales, good historic perspective and a wonderful natural guide to see the birds, alligators and salt marshes and all. Our entire family had such a good time we are still thinking about it. We were picked up at our hotel and the good times rolled, every corner had new information. We saw things we never would have found and it was all impressive. Loved the jeep we were on, different. Liked that there was a top to keep the sun off but the sides are open to make it adventurous. It also kept it cool I asked, and was told that in the cooler weather winter the sides are closed. I plan to tell my relatives who are coming in October about the tour. We brought some drinks along in a small cooler and a few little snacks. A camera was suggested and we brought ours, you should too because there are such wonderful picture taking chances along this tour. It is our third time in Myrtle Beach and we will do this again for sure. On our trip was a couple who had taken the trip before, now I understand why. I would recommend this tour whole heartedly. We would put this at the top of the list of things to do in this area.

Trip to Hell
By ,
My sisters and mother were together taking this jeep tour. Unfortunatly we took the trip on a cold day. Trying to just stay warm in the open sided stretch jeep was a challange and we were hoping it was over after it started. Thank goodness, our guide put out 80 year old mother in the front with him. She not only stayed warm, but told us she thought the trip very knowledgeable with the culture and historic scenery. Our other disapointment was that we couldn't hear our guide while driving. Speaklers needed to be put in the jeep. I'm sure we could have taken our minds off the cold learning about the history of the area. This is a trip that should be taken when arriving in SC. We had already seen many of the sites our guide showed us. On the flip side, our guide was very informative, had a good since of humor, and delightful personality. I'd encourage this tirp, hopefuly during a warmer month, only if speakers were in the back of the jeep, and at the beginning of ones trip in SC.

Great Family Experience!!!
By ,
We recently returned from Myrtle Beach visiting grandchildren ages 10-15. We took the tour on a Friday morning and had a wonderful time. Our guide was excellent!!!(Joe), providing excellent information (I'm a teacher and all his dates were right on), and he was great at getting everyone to interact with what was going on. I would take it again just to see if I missed anything. If you don't do anything else, take this tour!!

we highly recommend
By ,
This was just about the best thing I've done in a very long time. Why? Because¡Really, it was the kind of thing you always hope for when you do sightseeing or touring, a big memory and an exciting afternoon. This tour company deserves a kudo for offering up far more than any touristy kind of fare. Our guide, Virge, not only could present history in an entertaining way but showed the natural sights of this area in a way that we all found delightful and fascinating. The gators took on new meaning. The whole area is much more than we might have ever suspected in terms of interest. We would highly, highly recommend this trip and this tour in the best of possible ways. Oh yeah, there are NO bugs along the trip but I would recommend Sunblock because we do get outside. We also brought a small cooler and liked that you could eat or drink on the trip although we were warned not to bring alcohol. Definitely the thing to do here while at the beach area of Myrtle Beach. I would also say this could be for just about any age and it is not hard at all to navigate to the places we went. Incredible value, I've paid more for so much less that is for sure.

CSJT is the best way to see and learn the beach!
By ,
I'm local and had a visitor with me who has not been to the beach in years. We took the CSJT and had a wonderful day. Being the first week of July our 3 hour tour took 5 due to the heavy M.B. traffic. Never were we rushed to finish. Joe, our tour guide, was the best!! Myrtle Beach Trivia and History are his specialty!! The restaurant he suggested us to go to was excellent. After living here for 20 years I still was amazed at all the new things to learn about the area. I suggest both tourist and locals go!! Bring a small cooler for water or drinks and let the wind blow your hair!! Tell Joe Sock Monkey sent ya! :)

What a good time this summer!
By ,
This trip was such a great time for all of us. We had booked this awhile back after we saw the website and we were happy that is was even better than it looked. First of all, this is a real deal. Our guide, Vergil, was so informed, funny and interesting. He took the time to answer questions. The experience is really personal. I couldn't imagine how we would have ever seen or encountered the things we did like the wildlife, what we learned about the rice culture, the island and even some of the commentary if we had not gone on this tour. Our group was a small family get together of 10 of us. Grandparents, parents and kids all of us had a better than good time. The Carolina history was surprising to us. We had been here before but only did the beach and the usual, this is not the usual, I can tell you that. Our family (from Ohio) really recommends this to anyone who comes to Myrtle Beach and wants some a fun and meaningful time. We do suggest you bring your camera (they do too) because there are lots of possiblities for pictures and we brought some drinks and small snacks. I would honestly say that this was a major highlight of our vacation here. Worth doing!

No tour, No Refund
By ,
We scheduled a tour mid-May and received a call the day before that "someone" wasn't available. I was assured a prompt refund. It is 6/3 and no refund and no response to my e-mails. Forget it.

It was fun!
By ,
I'm not really the jeep type, but I climbed in and had a great time! My friend and I had booked the tour ahead of time so that we could learn about the Myrtle Beach history on the first day of our vacation. It's not every day you get to visit a castle and a plantation! Our guide, Virgil, was an expert on the area and made the trip interesting. My friend said it was so much fun she wants to come back to Myrtle Beach and take the tour again. Well worth the price!

A wonderful time!
By ,
That's odd because my husband and I went on a tour with the guide named Virgil that same week and we loved it. Virgil was not only very knowledgeable but his sense of humor and delightful personality made the tour so much fun. This was our first trip to the area and we both felt that we learned a lot about it on the jeep tour. I especially enjoyed the old cemetery where it was fascinating to read the inscriptions on the old headstones. I would highly recommend the Carolina Safari jeep tour to anyone who wants to learn about the history and ecosystem of this beautiful part of the country.
