What A disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/21/11
They advertise on marque that it is 24.99 all day. However, they fail to state it's for children under 42 inches. therefore the majority of kids are being charged adult rates which is 32.99 pp. They also charge for parking as if they're not getting enough off the admission prices. They lacked enough tubes, this is so they can boost their tube rental income. I felt for the money I spend it wasn't worth it. I will not come back. the Water Park in Surfside is a better bet.

horrible place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/21/11
Went to Myrtle Waves last week and it will be the last time i go back. When B&C owned the place a few years back, it was well always clean with friendly staff. Now that the new company has taken it over, you can tell that they do not know how to run a park or cant afford to repair things. All of the metal towers are rusting through that i was afraid to let my children even walk up then. The wooden towers are cover in termites. The park was dirty, bathrooms were a wreck. What is with the charging to park? Really, the beach is free and Wild Water just down the road is cheaper, free to park and has better rides. The girl at the front desk of our hotel recommend Wild Water and Family Kingdom over Myrtle Waves to begin with. Should have taken her word. Guess the locals have had enough of Myrtle Waves too.

Complete Turn Around!
By Mary Ann, 5/24/11
After speaking with the new general manager of the park about how impressed I was with the way things have turned around in the park, I discovered that the parks are under brand new management. It is certainly noticeable. I will definitely go back!

Waterpark not in good shape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/18/11
This park is not in good shape. The wave pool has mildew and plaster cracks on the pool bottom. I had season passes for 3 years and have decided not to return. The lazy river always has leaves in it. A slide in the back is never open. Will not be returning anytime soon unless new management takes over and cleans up the park.

Run Down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/10
You would think this water park was 100 years old. I used to buy family passes. After 5 years, I quit wasting my money. All the paint in all of the pools is peeling and in dire need of a new paint job. All the steps and bridges need new slip guards. The bathrooms are disgusting. For the prices they charge, you would think they would have enough funds to clean it up. The food is WAY over-priced and not very good! The LAST time I went I had the disgusting misfortune to discover a USED maxi-pad in the wave pool. I brought it to the attention of a life guard but he didn't take care of getting it out of the water. After it rubbed on my leg twice, I got out of the pool with my young son, left the park and NEVER returned!! Next summer I'm going to check out Wild Water and Wheels in Surfside Beach,

Will not go back!!
By DONNA, 8/16/10
Over price for what you get. Not enough tubes for everyone. You can pay extra and rent your own tube but for $35 bucks you would think you would get a tube. Bad enough you have to wait in line, but then you have to wait for someone to give up a tube. Children didn't understand why they had to give up their tubes. They hardly ran the wave pool, maybe once an hour for 15 min. Not enough tubes for the lazy river, when we asked why, they said it was OK just to float around without a tube. Yet, behind a building they had tubes stacked. The slides and and steps where in bad shape, needs repairs and updating. The chairs where dirty. We will not be back.

SUCKS!!! Twlight admission a JOKE!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/09
We had seen where you could enter the park for less if you went after 3 and with young kids we thought it would be the best value for our money. BOY WERE WE WRONG!! The lines we terrible and my kids spent the majority of the time waiting and didnt understand why they couldnt ride more. The slide selection is scarce. Not worth the $20/$15 at all. Also, the park closes at 7 and MOST of the drink stands cloased at 5:30. So if you wanted anything you would have to walk all the way to the otherside of the park for it after 530. Didnt really make a whole lot of sense to me. Needless to say I was VERY dissappointed for somewhere who claims to MB's #1 Water park.

Not worth the money
By Beach Comber, 7/6/09
For 29.99 honestly you could do better somewhere else. WE got really, really lucky and hit tickets for the fourth of july weekend, 15.00 a head, that is the only way honestly it was worth the money. Dont spend the full price look for coupons. The rides are ok, Busch Gardens and Carowinds offer a better waterpark.
