La Plage Swimwear, Myrtle Beach

The first thing I was told was how much one of the saleswomen (owner/manager?) loves the Gamecocks and HATES Clemson. Ok no biggy even if I do forkout the equivalent of several hundred designer suits per year to send my boy to Clemson. she was very nasty about a football rivalry toward a customer for my taste. The other salesperson was helpful and the selection huge, but end of season meant not all sizes available. And she was pretty darn unpleasant when I didn't buy. I just didn't find exactly what I wanted but might have tried again if not for the less than warm welcome. I might have even settled for that "extra" suit that isn't perfect but works but in the end I just didn't want to give these snarly women my money. I left laughing a little half expecting my Clemson Mom sticker to be tampered with. If you like USC and absolutely plan to buy give it a shot!

You can have a bunch of strangers try on swimsuits in the store, then put them back on the rack, but you can't buy one and return it the same day all with tags on and everything. South Carolina is a Huge Joke when it comes to some of their laws!

I traveled from PA for our vacation. Decided I was going to find a shop that sold good swim suits. The store was recommended to me from a new friend that gets a suit there each year. The sales staff were wonderful to me. They helped get me the correct size and gave me their opinions. I bought 2 suits that I absolutely love and have received many compliments. The store and sales staff were awesome. I'll definitely will be back again next year.

Traveled to Myrtle Beach from Idaho this month and stopped at their store. I was amazed at the selection of styles and sizes. Decided on two suits that are absolutely a good fit and different look than what I can usually buy. Prices are reasonable also..

I loved the store because its hard for me to find a top to hold me up and cover everthing. the sales staff was great..

Having purchased a bathing suit at La Plage on a previous holiday,and loving their great selection, I was anxious to go back on our recent holiday in November 2007.Wow! Did I pick a good time as they had 50% off all their suits.I bought 4 beautiful suits and I couldn't be happier.One suit top did not have a bottom in my size, so they made one for me and still took 50% off. Sent a friend who was equally happy.The staff were super, especially Jonica. This is a great store! Wendy

In response to the other review, of course you can't return bathing suits!! Not only is it against the law, but its also totally gross. La Plage has many signs around the store to let you know of their non-returnabke policy, plus they tell you before you buy your item. There's no excuse for not knowing the law! Anyways, La Plage has a great selection, even if their staff is a little "so-so". Top bathing suit resource for women of a range of sizes. There's always something for you! Plus great accesories, hats, shoes and bags.
