Martins Golf & Tennis Superstore, North Myrtle Beach

The shaft came out of my driver- I took it to Golf Dimensions first to get it re-epoxied, Terrible idea- Ill never walk into that store again!! they told me that the inside of the clubhead was ruined and that I needed to send it into Ping and wait a month for a new one, and they wouldn't even help me with that, 3people looked at it and agreed! So I went to Martins, I was helped by 2 very nice guys who took my club back and re-epoxied it free of charge, took a matter of 15 minutes- Good as new! I know where I'm shopping from now on!

I made an appointment to be fitted for new Taylormade irons in the Taylormade Fitting Center inside Martins in North Myrtle Beach. The Taylormade representitive's name was Ken and he was absolutely amazing! The whole experience was above and beyond my expectations! I am a plus 1 handicapp golfer and been around PGA members and club fitters my whole life, so I have extremely high expectations. He was extremely knowlegable not only about the club fitting, but about the golf swing as well. It is well worth the money for anyone looking to get fitted. Even if you are not going to buy Taylormade clubs and just want an honest opinion and great advice for your swing I would definitely go see him. If I ever have any club fitting questions or other questions he is on the top of my list to see again. I noticed the Martins reviews have several about their horrible service and even though I have never experienced that from the normal employees I can definitely tell you one thing.... Their club fitting is free for good reason. They do not have any shafts to exchange out, no different lengths or lies, and if you pick a club off the rack they will tape it up preventing you from actually experiencing the club. It is fine for a free service, but SERIOUSLY FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES GOLF AND WANTS A GREAT FITTING EXPERIENCE GO SEE THE TAYLORMADE SPECIALIST!!!!!

A sales person was helping my son and I when another customer interrupted and told him he wanted to purchase a club. He left us in the middle of our conversation. My son then hit two errant balls (over the net) and a guy came out from the side office and said we couldn't hit anymore. Further that if my son was having that much trouble they would be glad to give him lessons. Matter of fact said it twice. Totally unacceptable.

This store is huge. We picked up many end of season winter golf wear at great prices (Men and Women). The selection of golf equipment was as large as I have seen anywhere. We were waited on by Garrett who was very patient as my wife was trying out different iron sets and woods. He was knowledgeable and had many good suggestions. A few other sales associates were all friendly and helpful (in clothing). The pricing was mostly full retail on current equipment except for manufacturer's discounts. You can do better on ebay but you don't get to try out the clubs on ebay.

Grouchy grouchy people. Customers are a bothersome to every sales person I meet. Quit if you don't like your job. Wow never ever ever ever shop here. Looks are deceiving. SHOP ONLINE instead!!!!!!!

If you are a male and left handed, forget about going here. I swear I could count the number of drivers and fairway metals on one hand. On the other hand most of the golf shops in MB are the same when it comes to lefties.

I went in and bought a pair of running shoes for an excellent price. Unfortunately I ran a couple of times and found the shoes were not good to my feet. I returned the pair, though I was not sure how it would go with the ever so slight wear I put on them. They returned my $$$ without question, which is consistant with the 30 day return policy. Thank you Martins! I look forward to my next visit!

I went in to take a short lesson, could not have asked for anyone to have been any nicer. I was told it would be 30 Min. so I went to get my own clubs. Came back and they were ready for me (Ronnie) worked with me in the driving booth, he was super I payed for 45 min and received about 1 hr. +++ I also told him I would like to buy new clubs and he went and helped me pick out some clubs to try. I told him what I liked and he let me try them out. I an going back to purchase the Taylormade set he was going to check with Taylormadea and see if he could change out the clubs to add me a 7 wood..... He was super !!! ....helped me a lot!!

Went to buy a new set of Adams Hybrids. Salesman, (Tom) told me to go play them for a couple of rounds, and if I didn't like them I could return them for a FULL REFUND. Played three rounds, and actually never really hit all the clubs. Went to return them within nine days because I didn't like them as well as my old Adams. Guess what,...Tom now tells me I can have a STORE CREDIT for $900+. My golfing buddy, who was with me when I made the initial purchase backed up my claim that we were told to return the clubs within 30 days for a full refund. Tom now has a memory lapse, and denies ever telling us that. I took a receipt for the clubs, called my credit card company, and Martins now has a set of slightly used Adams Hybrids and I have my $$$ back. Buyer beware if you make a purchase at Martins, and guess what,,,they really don't give a hoot. The locals know better, and they prey on the seasonal golfer.

I did not like the person that sold me a driver very little help I will be back next year and know where i will shop it won't be at Martins check out the store across the street.
