Broadway at the Beach
Located on Highway 17 between 21st and 20th St North, Broadway at the Beach is a must-see for Grand Strand visitors. There are over 100 specialty shops selling everything from T-shirts to fine jewelry. Over 20 restaurants feature all kinds of food, from hamburgers to great local seafood. The site contains a 23-acre lake surrounded by boardwalk, making it a great place to stroll on a sunny day or balmy evening. Free wheelchairs are available at the visitor's center.
I put a deposit on a Grandfather clock, and was told I would receive it in 6 weeks. Fourteen weeks later I still haven't received it. I have called 3 times and was told they were having a cash flow problem. They have yet to call me with a projected time of arrival, so I guess I'll drive 5 hours to get my deposit back.
At Broadway, there is so much to do. It easily took 8 hours to walk through the shops, visit the Ripley's Aquarium, and play mini-golf. Try to go on the day when there is a fireworks show at night. Very fun with a ton of food choices. There is really something for everyone.
lots of shopping, but they really need something to make this place unique. We visited Margaritaville- that was fun, and the staff was friendly. There are coupons online, you pay $50 for a bundle of items, including aquarium tickets. I recommend getting this- you cannot buy the package when you get there.
This is a great place for all ages. Nightclubs for adults, pavilion and other attractions for family and kids, plenty stores for fellow shopaholics, and great food and entertainment. This is a regular stop when visiting whether with the family or friends. A must to see! Even have boat rides and places to feed the fish and birds along the bridges.
While everythig is together and it gives you a chance to take care of everything at once, we came away feeling we had been robbed. We purchased things from 3 stores, ate at 2 restaurants, 1 snack stand, visited the aquarium and 2 amusement areas. In all cases we felt we had been overcharged or given sub-par product or service or both. You can purchase similar items from the outlets, visit other amusement areas, and eat better at other locations in Myrtle beach and pay far less.
My husband and I just got back from MB and we went to Broadway a few times while we were there. Lots of restaurants, tons of attractions, something for everyone. Uno Chicago Grill was very good and very well priced.
Lots of unique shops and area to get souveniers. The layout is easy to travel and great for traffic flow. There weren't many areas where you're "stuck" in foot traffic. Reasonable prices and friendly customer service.
I recently just got back from Myrtle beach and besides the beach Broadway on the Beach is by far the best attraction there. My family and I went just out to find a good place to eat at and we ended up going to Broadway on the Beach. We loved it so much that we came back there for the rest of the nights we were there. While the kids ran around and road rides and went in stores us adults had a nice dinner. Fun, Fun, Fun, I would go back in a heartbeat.
We were traveling with our little yorkie and we checked the website and there is nothing mentioned about "no pets allowed", no signs in the parking lot or anywhere on the place. Since it was too warm for her to stay in the car, we put her on a lead and walked in with her. A few minutes later a security guard came up to us and said "no dogs allowed, you will have to leave".
We mentioned to the security guard that there are no signs posted advising guests that dogs are not allowed and ask him to tell management that visitors need to be advised so they will not break the rules. The guard told us to tell management ourselves and that was not his job.
When you walk there, be prepared to dodge the bird droppings because they are everywhere.
