Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach

The Broadway at the Beach is a group of independently run businesses. I am sure most businesses there operate with the goal of achieving the highest level of customer service. Unfortunately, the establishments we wanted to visit failed miserable in this arena. The inflatable playground owned and operated by Jack Davis opened 45 minutes later than the posted time and offered no resolution or sign that they even cared that our family with 2 kids under 3 years of age had to wait for them to open. I asked to speak with management or owner and was refused. I then spoke with the Broadway at the Beach management in the visitor center and they asked me to fill out a complaint form, but basically said they have no resolution or recourse for my problem as the business on their facility operate independently. "As long as they pay their leases then, they are in good standing." As a consumer, I simply want to know that if I vacation in MB again and go to this facility that someone has taken action to improve the customer experience. Unfortunately, based on the apathy of the park management and the workers at the inflatable playground I can't foresee there to be any changes to improve or simply honor their 'promise' to the consumer of operating on the posted times. Second complaint is more of a warning to others to call in advance before going to the Broadway at the Beach and make sure that you have accurate times when certain facilities are open. Most shops are open at 10am, but most of the places to play are subject to various times and are not posted clearly on their website. Steven S

who would not like surfside its a place for the family to get away for a while the most fun about it was when me and my family went to broadway so if you wont to find the best vacation go to SURFSIDE :)

It's a fun atmosphere, and it's always great just to run around and look at stuff. I almost never go there to eat, or even to shop. I just love going and looking through some of the cool shops that I don't have where I live, and looking at all the attractions there. The last time I went, I didn't buy one thing! But I had a ton of fun just walking around with my family. You can usually just fill up on samples when you walk through the restaurants. Make sure to visit the candy shops. And a little friendly talk and smooth talking can usually get you discounts. These people are usually very friendly and happy to talk. And don't forget to go into on of the Fudge stores. I think there were two when I went last, but the one I visited let you sample the fudge before purchasing, and you could see then making all the sweets right there in the store! I totally recommend going to Broadway at the Beach with your family, but make sure to have some cash packed in your wallet, most of the stores are a bit expensive!

Loved Broadway! What was really cool about some of the Restaurants were the free airbrush tattoos. It was perfect thing to kill wait times with the kids and even mom and I. Best thing about them they lasted about 5 days and were best priced around plus FREEBIE of the day... It had such an impact we visited Joe's Crab Shack and Margaritaville 2xs. My parents thought we lost our minds until they came off. BIG Laughs and a good story... Cant wait 2 go back... The Stewarts, Erie, PA

This part of the trip was one of the best!!!! I remember going to this place when I was three to Dragons Lair Fantasy Golf and we are still going there! The whole place is amazing! In 2009 we went to the i max theater they have and saw the under the sea one it was amazing! We also got me and my sister hand drawn! 2 years ago we got our names written in Japanese letters Broadway at the beach is amazing! This year my best friends family is going with us to the beach and we are staying for 2 weeks this year I very highly recommend on your next trip to the beach go to Broadway at the beach!!!

We went there one night and besides a few overpriced shops selling local goods made in China, there was nothing that here that you could not find in any mall in the US, Don't waste your time. Eating wise, it has the same chain restaraunts that you would expect to see at other tourist traps.

It was a little over priced, but what we expected for a tourist hang out. It was nice to have a place to take the kids when we had our fill of the beach. I did feel robbed however when we decided to get airbrush tattoos. The people working the booth did not speak very good english. My husband and I both heard five dollars and so we let the kids each pick a small tattoo. I also decided to get one in the spirit of the vacation. We each picked out our tattoos and I ask if I could pay while we were waiting for the people ahead of us to finish up and the girl said no you pay at the end. I should have known then that something was up, but we went ahead and when all four of our tattoos were finished she said $70!!!! I had to ask three times to make sure I was hearing her right! AND the tattoos only lasted that night and then smeared the next day when we took our showers! Lesson learned!!! Watch your wallets!!!

This was the highlight of our trip. My husband and I went during the day and was able to just stroll along without the feeling of being rushed. The shops are fantasic and the restraunts were also great. We can't wait until next year!!!!

Visited the Imax theater, nice but pricey. Stopped at a visitor's info booth near Imax to get map to find Aquarium - ended up having to listen to a Holiday Inn representative try to sell us on their vacation packages. No thanks! We only wanted a map!?! Aquarium was nice but too expensive-$42 for 2 adults. Not worth the money. Shops are full of pricey merchandise that you could probably find at home much cheaper.

Just went to Myrtle Beach for a weekend getaway it was 76 in Feburary could not believe it. Broadway as usual had lots of fun things going on we had lunch at Joes Crab Shack It was GReat the food was outstanding. Can't wait for summertime to spend the week.
