Studebaker's, Myrtle Beach

I wonder why they keep old info on the site, it was a great place but having lost the huge revenue from bike week, they could not survive. Yes, some businesses did as much business in 10 days of May as the 2 summer months combined and this was one of them. I know of 1 bar that last year during bike week took in over a Million. oh...that is so sad that it is sad...the first time I went to a Studebaker's, I was 19 years old and just had enlisted in tthe Navy. Now 26 years later..retired...I was going to Myrtle Beach for Vacation and got excited to see a Studebaker's and then heard it is closed. so sad!

I've been visiting Studebaker's every spring for the past 20 some years. If a girl wants to dance, this is the place to be! No matter the age, young and not so young, dance, dance, dance! Despite the (not-so) new competition in the Myrtle Beach area, Studebaker's has held their own. Friendly staff, a good mix of music, great dance floor, and an atmosphere dating back to the "good 'ol days" and of course the famous Dancing Studeboppers create a sure recipe for fun! I like to arrive early in the evening and catch dancers doing the Carolina Shag. And it's always a laugh when Studebaker's throws a little friendly competition into the evening's mix...like a Hairy Chest contest or maybe a Bikini contest. I would like to suggest Studebaker's re-introduce "Line Dance" lessons. Free lessons at the beginning of the evening, is one of the things that "hooked' me on Studebaker's those many,many years ago. Having an introduction to the Electric Slide or The Cupid Shuffle, (and a drink or two) will surely promote a full dance floor. Dancing and the beach (in that order) are what leads me to Myrtle Beach year after year and Studebaker's has always been my Night Club of choice. (A smoke free Studebaker's and a little dancing powder on the dance floor would be appreciated.) I highly recommend Studebaker's...hope to see you there :)

I agree with Haunch. I enjoy going to this place. Its like other places that I enjoy going to. You must stop to see Paul at the souvenir shop if you like amazing conversations. He is a genius. Rooby Roo!!

DJ Rock is awshum...awshum. The world famous studaboppers will knock your socks off! I agree with previous post- Meat Ball is a world class athlete as well

Fantastic music by Richie, the D.J. Knows what to play and when to play it. Enjoyed the Studeboppers. Meat Ball has to be the best bartender in the business. I would highly recommend this club. The only knock I could make is smoking is permitted. The place is so great, though, that I put up with it. Can't wait to return this winter. Ron Robertson
