Charleston Waterfront Park

Description

Don't miss Charleston Waterfront Park, located in the center of downtown. Spanning over 1,000 feet along Charleston Harbor, this is a must-see for any walking tour of the city. Sit on one of several family-sized swings on the pavilion and watch ships come and go. Find an old-fashioned park bench in a shady spot and watch people stroll by as children romp on the large green and run along the palm tree-lined walkways. Two artfully designed enormous fountains invite children to splash and play.

absolutely terrific!! oh my goodness it was just a great place to take the family!! You should go, for sure! So so so much fun!!

Great for toddlers

I liked the waterfront park it was beautiful,but when the people we were visiting said "let's go to the waterfront park" I thought they were talking about a theme park like six flags or something, to get there and all I see is fountains. It needs to be renamed or something.

Want to live here some day

I have been going to Charleston since I was a little girl. It is my favorite city of all time. Just walking through the city will put you in a relaxed mood. Everyone should take a visit to this city of history.

My wife and I went down to spend labor day and had a blast. We walked the whole waterfront. Saw people fishing, dolphins swimming in the bay,just a great labor day. Next time my fishing rods are coming along.

i've been to downtown charleston, s.c. water front park like maybe 3, 4, maybe 5 times! i love that place too. i'd love to go there again and again!

Great place to sit and relax

This is a wonderful place to sit and relax. On our last visit we saw a group of dolphins playing in the harbour. From this vantage you can see the USS Yorktown moored with other vessels in Mt. Pleasant.

Waterfront Park

Waterfront Park was very enjoyable. Our 7 yr. old grandson asked to go back several times during our vacation to play in the foundains. It is such a relaxing atmosphere and the other tourists were all so friendly. You will want to take a liesurely walk all around the area to fully enjoy it. Don't be in a rush.

waterfront park was wonderful

the wonderful sight seeing attractions. People of the age 6 would like it but they wouldnt like to stay there for very long because their very active and they get bored quick. On the other hand people in the older ages might take intrest in this magnificent atraction.

Pretty Stroll

A nice park with beautiful fountains and veiws of the harbor. Residents and tourists alike take advantage of a pretty place to stroll and sit and watch the water and people. Pier with swings and Pavillion. Really pretty. Special events scheduled at times.
