Brick Alley Pub is a local favorite, popular with both families and young adults. The menu includes hearty New England soups and burgers; an extensive salad bar selection is also available. The cozy, wood paneled downstairs room is complete with everything from high chairs to a large screen TV. The upstairs bar area offers large windows overlooking the waterfront area, making it a pleasant place to wait for your table. Families or large groups should go early as a typical wait on a weekend night can be up to an hour long. Don't miss out on the Sunday brunch with fabulous dishes like Crab Cakes Benedict or the Sailor Sandwich.

Best place in Newport!!!
By Ryan, 03/22/09
The place had great curb appeal so we decided to give it a shot. We had to wait for thirty mins but it was well worth it! I had the Pottugese Littlenecks for an appetizer and they were out of this world. For an entree i had a steak that was perfectly cooked. They have this huge salad bar that is included with each dinner entree, and they come with a side too. I have never gotten a better value. There had to be at least 20 beers on tap from all over the world, and a couple of local brews as well. We will be back next time we are in Newport for sure!!!

We left smiling....

For the type of restaurant it is, it is 5 stars...It's a fun restaurant easily spotted with its brightly striped awnings and antique firetruck on the rooftop. The firetruck is a hint of the interior decor...vintage plane props, trucks, cars license plates, framed newspapers and other fun stuff crowd the walls of the restaurant bar and restrooms...which are all very clean...the service was smart and friendly, and the menu is widely varied(from lobster/chowders/soups/salads/burgers/pizza/apps, and a multitude of other choices...)Everything was tasty, prepared as requested and was served piping hot. The cocktails are yummy too!--We lunch there everytime we're in Newport and have never been disappointed.

Provides an electric atmosphere nestled within the charm of Thames. One cannot help but get lost within the many varieties of selections with the menu; there are too many appetizing choices
