Brick Alley Pub
Brick Alley Pub is a local favorite, popular with both families and young adults. The menu includes hearty New England soups and burgers; an extensive salad bar selection is also available. The cozy, wood paneled downstairs room is complete with everything from high chairs to a large screen TV. The upstairs bar area offers large windows overlooking the waterfront area, making it a pleasant place to wait for your table. Families or large groups should go early as a typical wait on a weekend night can be up to an hour long. Don't miss out on the Sunday brunch with fabulous dishes like Crab Cakes Benedict or the Sailor Sandwich.
Great food with reasonable prices. We visited on a very busy night, waited for about 35 minutes for a table, the place was packed. The food was great and they have a very extensive menu to pick from. The staff is extremely friendly and the service was fast. Would return on our next visit to Newport.
We were looking for a place for dinner that was not too expensive and that was casual, this fit the bill perfectly. Most of the other restaurants in Newport are way overpriced! Not here, and it is kid friendly and has a great atmosphere!
Went to this restaurant during Restaurant week in Newport. Had lunch -- caesar salad, Lobster mac and cheese and a side, milky way cake with ice cream. Yummy and huge portions! My husband had a steak and loved it and my sister is Gluten free because of celiac AND THEY HAVE A GLUTEN FREE MENU. A little pricey but worth the visit......... Great pub atmosphere. Only waited 20 minutes to be seated on a very busy day..
The place had great curb appeal so we decided to give it a shot. We had to wait for thirty mins but it was well worth it! I had the Pottugese Littlenecks for an appetizer and they were out of this world. For an entree i had a steak that was perfectly cooked. They have this huge salad bar that is included with each dinner entree, and they come with a side too. I have never gotten a better value. There had to be at least 20 beers on tap from all over the world, and a couple of local brews as well. We will be back next time we are in Newport for sure!!!
For the type of restaurant it is, it is 5 stars...It's a fun restaurant easily spotted with its brightly striped awnings and antique firetruck on the rooftop. The firetruck is a hint of the interior decor...vintage plane props, trucks, cars license plates, framed newspapers and other fun stuff crowd the walls of the restaurant bar and restrooms...which are all very clean...the service was smart and friendly, and the menu is widely varied(from lobster/chowders/soups/salads/burgers/pizza/apps, and a multitude of other choices...)Everything was tasty, prepared as requested and was served piping hot. The cocktails are yummy too!--We lunch there everytime we're in Newport and have never been disappointed.
This is New England's only outdoor flower show, so if you are in Newport in the summer, don't miss the
spectacular event! The event features flower arrangements, horticultural exhibitions, workshops and lectures as well as outdoor luncheons with musical ...
