Disappointed

My wife and I still revel in the memories of our visit to the Rodin Museum in Paris from 15 years ago, so the opportunity to see the "largest Rodin collection outside of Paris" seemed to be an unbelievable opportunity. Perhaps our expectations were impossibly high, but we just felt disappointed in our visit to the Philadelphia museum. If we had known that the vast majority of sculptures on display were bronze castings, perhaps we would have just enjoyed the beauty and power of Rodin's art. Unfortunately, we were anticipating something akin to the awe-inspiring marble statues on display in Paris, and this is just not what the Philadelphia musuem offers. Tht said, the musuem is certainly a good value ($3 suggested donation) and was a very nice venue in which to view the works.
