Beautiful acoustics and sometimes overzealous security make this an authentic rock concert hall. An old vaudeville theatre with 3,200 seats, it's a popular hall for big stars on acoustic tours: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, John Hiatt and others play here "unplugged" if they want to bypass larger venues like the First Union Center. It's also a good place for comedians like Eric Idle or Kids in the Hall.

Go to the Tower Theater!!
By dal168, 06/29/09
I saw John Legend, Neil Young, Paul Simon and Chris Rock, Foo Fighters and others. Great shows, sat in different sections and they were all good seats. Park in the shoppers lot in the back of the Tower for $10.00. Itis the only legal place to park. They tow from the other shoppers' lots after 10 PM and give tickets on the streets behind the Tower. Get there a little early for a good spot, then go to the Waterford for a cheap drink across from the Tower.

Always Loved it!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/07
My very first concert was at the tower (Gary Newmen) I was 14, now I'm 42 and I still remember that concert like it was yesterday. The tower was great then and it's still today, it really hasn't changed any, and i mean that in a Good way. I now take my 15 year old son to the tower and he feels the same way. I'm sure when my son is 42 he'll right the same great revue i've written. We love it!!! Rock-on Tower Theatre!!!!

Incredible Vaudeville style place..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/04/04
Despite what the other reviewer has said, I've seen around five different performers at the Tower over the past few years and i think it is an amazing venue. Incredible acoustics, and ample seating give this small venue a great feel and closeness to the band. Definitely check it out if you dig architecture and want a great feel to a great show.

Tower Theater is a pit!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/04
I had the misfortune of paying $65 each for tickets to see John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, and Guy Clark at the Tower Theater in Upper Draby on October 23. On my way in the door, my camera was confiscated. There was no notice on the tickets that cameras were not allowed, and besides, I was planning to use it for the "meet and greet" after the show. They seated us in the wrong seats, the ladies room was a disgusting mess, and to REALLY top off a bad experience, a group of "gang banger" wannabees was hanging in the lobby, talking loudly and disrupting the performances. I WILL NOT attend another show at this wanna be rock venue again, and I will tell my friends about this. Get a clue, Tower management, the people who are coming to see acoustic performances by songwriters are NOT the same crowd that would attend a hip-hop show, and should be not be treated as if they are.
