Merriam Theater

Spent New Years Eve at the Merriam, we saw "STOMP". What a great show,in a very nice theater. Only complaint is the cramped seating in the balcony. Other than that there is not a bad seat in the house. Catch "STOMP" if you can, great show!!

excellent shows! lovely theatre. easy entrance/exit. good on any nite of the week. plenty of reasonably priced parking nearby. don't miss your next show! young and older adults alike.

A small theater with a great atmosphere. Employees are kind and courterous and the setting is intimate and makes for a great atmosphere for a GREAT show. Easy to go get to. I will definately consider going back. Only thing that looked to be difficult was parking at the Doubletree across the street. However, I took car service and cannot say for sure.

Everything was great. The shows are especially enjoyable. Can't wait to return.

The theater itself was good. However, the caliber of talent that starred in Grease was terrible. The male lead was a poor imitation of John Travolta while the female lead could not hold a tune. It was the worse show I have ever seen in Philadelphia. I was extremely disappointed. I cannot believe that there was not better talent that auditioned for these two roles. The woman who played the part of Rizzo was excellent. However, she was not the lead. Having Frankie Avalon star in his role of "Teen Angel" was a good come on. Because the two leads certainly could not bring in the patrons. I do hope that the Merriam Theater looks into what they hire for talent especially in leading roles.
