Water Taxi of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City

loved it but why not replace the gas powered barge with a gondola type craft. put a few more in teh water and the perseption of the ride might be that of more value... besides the capitans might make better tips... Gotta really aplaud those responsible for this project... it is such a beautiful attraction...water ride in teh heart of teh city!!! regarding the sculptured in teh park ... i heard the artist gets reimbursed only one time per year... and has to up front a lot of expense out of his own pocket. that is going to really add to this swell serene site in our beautiful OKC. BEAUTIFUL!!!

It's a nice leisurely trip with a narration of what businesses are in the area. It's a floating advertisment. You buy an all day pass but the trips and hours of operation are subject to the whims of the owner without any notice or explaination. When asking questions about why they'd shut down early we were "rewarded" with a surly attitude and the response "because". Save your money, get some exercise and walk the route! You'll be much happier! AND have a fuller pocket!

I rode the Bricktown Water Taxi last weekend, and although it was very windy, it was a fun and informative experience. The "captains" are very entertaining and I can't think when I've been so surprised at something so fun. There are many historic, artistic, and architectual sites to see. I'd say it is a must for anyone visiting Oklahoma City.

MY SISTER FROM CHICKASHA AND MY DAUGHTER RODE THE WATER TAXI WE HAD A GREAT TIME THE DRIVER WAS EXCELENT. HE MADE US LAUGH AND WE GOT TO SEE A LOT OF THINGS OF DOWN TOWN OKC, THE NEW PARK IS VERY NICE. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT IS DONE. WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT TO RIDE IT. THANKS PAULETTE

I enjoyed the cruise and our tour guide made the trip fun. Unfortunately, the ride is short and the price is high, so I can�t recommend this to others. Save your $ and walk the paths for the same views and ready access to Bricktown.

It's a carved out SAD imitation of the gorgeous San Antonio Riverwalk, minus the shops, the greenery, the culture, the people. It literally runs through a freeway. And this is NOT cute! It goes through nothing and takes you NOWHERE! N

The water taxi is a unique draw for tourists coming to Oklahoma City. The whole Bricktown area is a great tourist area with for walking to the shops, ball field, movie theatres, restaurants, Bass Pro shop. I enjoyed the water taxi ride but wished it was longer. I was hyped up for a longer ride so I was a little disappointed that it didn't go very far. In the advertisement it mentioned the "locals" using the water taxi & I think it would be too expensive when you could walk the whole route in 5-10 for free. I think the bronze statues in the park are very nice and hopefully it will continue to be nicer & nicer as they add more statues to the park. This is a unique tourist idea for Oklahoma. Our ambassador was very knowledgeable about the area.

The canal is very new and there isn't too much to see on it. The guides try their best, but when you talking about nothing, its hard to keep people interested. They give a history of the canal, and places to see, but the trip is very short and not worth the price. If you go to OK City see the memorial and museums. I would only go to Bricktown to eat.

There was 1 water taxi running on the Sunday we were there. And after I looked at what the water trip had to offer, I was glad I did not ride. The canal seems very new and hardly has anything to see.

come to Oklahoma even if you just want to get around the city no hassle the water taxi's are the best and at leasurly pace take in the sights meet nice people Enjoy our citys water way send your friends heck why not bring your friends a groupe of friends could be just the thing guys if you love Golf we have it here in Edmond Oklahoma just ask around come on down enjoy the great hospitality Oklahoma is knowen for meet new friendly folk i'm telling you ..you will come back, we love it ...Rick & Regina Parker Edmond OKC
