The atmosphere in this two-story restaurant, located right on the Bricktown Canal, is festive and loud. This restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike, especially since it is the only restaurant with dining overlooking the canal on a patio and upper balcony. The clientele tends to be young, often college-aged, but children are always welcome here. It is a little mild for Mexican food, so be sure to ask for hot sauce with your meal.

not a happy camper
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/05
I have always enjoyed eating at Chelino's but the last 2 times I have been there I did not have a good experience. The first time I thought it was just one of those bad days, the avacoda dip was spoiled, the cilantro dip was not what it used to be, it was cold where it used to be hot. They were real busy so I apologized to my guest whom I had taken to the resturant to "treat them to the best mexican food in the state". The next time I also had guests from out of town and I took them to your resturant and to the river walk. This was on july 26th and the food was worse this week than last, I am so disapointed that at this point I don't know if I will ever go back. I have enjoyed your resturant for several years and have never had a bad experience but the Brick Town location has been a bad experience. I would think you would want this location to be the best since it is the one that will get the most out of town guest. Sorry to complain but I felt you should know so that you could correct the situation before it starts affecting your business in the Brick Town location. thanks, long time client

Not worth the trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/05
Really dirty cheapy looking atmosphere. Food is subpar. Waitstaff is ok, but always seem to be overworked and dishelved. Usually crowded and loud.
