Flip's Wine Bar & Trattoria, Oklahoma City

I had a rotten dirty martini. Their grubby little hands had been dropped in the olive jar one too many times and tasted like a bunch of kids urinated in my drink. The food, the pizza is fine. The pasta dishes taste like a lot tomato paste is used and does not make me have the urge to return. The service is pretty good besides how cool they all think they are there. I'd go back just because Oklahoma food scenes isn't the greatest and my selections are very limited.

It is the best Italian food I have ever had. The chicken lesagna is to die for. Their desert menue is out of this world, and everything they make is from scratch.

everything... the managemnt it great! I have never had a dish that I did not love!! their salads are to die for! The family that owns the restaurant it also fabulous! It is a great experience overall!

Having traveled extensively, its so nice to come back home to OKC and dine in a place with that feels like home but still delivers great service and food. The wait staff work to make the place feel familier and the crowd is typically sophisticated and fun-loving. Stop in for lunch or bring out of town friends/clients by for dinner...it's a side of OKC they've never seen and will be happy to discover. Don't miss the after-work cocktail crowd on the patio during good weather.

The food was delicious. I recommend the fruit and cheese platter. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing yet classic. I do recommend Flips to anyone.

Manager chewing gum, bartender could care less, food salty and cold, wine was spoiled. This is a place for local regulars as the bartender and manager were drinking shots of scotch with them instead of taking care of the room full of dining patrons. If you want a face full of attitude, go to this local hangout and be ignored or worse.

My husband and I recently went to Flips. It is a little mom and pops place that reminds me a bit of a place in new york. Please take my advise though-- stay away from that special pasta sauce with bacon. Gross..they apparently cook the bacon and leave the grease in the sauce. My husband liked the chicken parm and I think their side pasta is truly tasty! I would go there for lunch where you can get a half order of pasta for a good price.

My wife and I have been dining at Flips regularly for the last 18 years, and we've never had 1 bad experience. The menu is small, and almost unchanged during that time. It doesn't change because it's perfect just like it is. Every sauce is perfect, portions are generous, and the value is the best in town - soup, salad and entree for $15. I took an out of town executive, who was visiting from Boston, there last night and he said it was among some of the best Italian he has eaten. Just remember one thing, order any entree you want, but do not skip the pasta chips.

Tried Flip's because it had such a high review but we couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about...it's just a so-so neighborhood restaurant!! The food was good but nothing out of this world and the atmosphere was lacking. Hmmm, maybe you have to LIVE in the neighborhood, not just be visiting from out of state, to appreciate it. Martha

flips's food is unlike any others. Everything is so fresh, it doesnt feel like your eating out, everything is like a home cooked meal., the staff is so personable, and fast. I have to try something on the menu i didnt absolutly love.
