Great Lakes Science Center

Description

If scientific wonders intrigue you, then a trip to the Great Lakes Science Center is definitely a must. The science center offers an array of activities right from fun sci-fi movies in their giant Omnimax Theater to interactive workshops for students and teachers in the classrooms and more than 400 scientific exhibits in different galleries to look at. After all these activities, if you are in a mood for more, sign up for one of their workshops or overnight camps. If your appetite is worked up after the brain-building experience, there are plenty of refreshment stalls and cafes to satisfy your hunger pangs. Do not forget to go to their shop and buy one of the toys, for they are a rich reminder of your tour to this science center.

was lots of fun for all kids and adults. loved it. my parents had fun with it my eight year old sister-in-law loved it and it was hard to get her out of there. Yet we were all entertained also and would go back soon.

The omnimax theater is awesome!! This is a great place to visit if your going to cleveland!! If you have kids this is the place for them on vacation!

great! i had a blast!

cheap fun. lasts all day. actually went without kids suring daytime . the imax was sweet! sit at the top the movie plays on the whole screen. saw katrina documentary. and played around. it was fun and exciting, cheap and actually learned something. very mellow and laid back.

Very Disappointing Visit

Just visited the Science Center today. I recommend that if you don't have kids...save your money. This is not a very exciting place for adults. Some of the exhibits were being "serviced" and some did not do anything. We found it to be a waste of a beautiful building...all wasted space. It was more worth sitting outside of it and enjoying the view of the waterfront. Everyone on the bus tour was highly disappointed in this visit. Not recommended for adults.

Take the Kids

It's a great place to take the kids for a few hours. They can learn and have fun at the same time. It's also fun for adults plus the Imax movies are always good.

Great Lakes Science Center

When I went to the Great Lakes Science Center, I had a blast. One of my favorite exibites was the virtual soccer. When I last visited I went to Grossology. I think it was fun learning about the human body and how it works. I think it was more fun and interesting than rude and gross. Another one of my favorite places to visit there was the OMNIMAX theater. I saw the movie Everest and it felt like I was really there on the highest point of the world! I'd recommend the Great Lakes Science Center to anyone any day.

A Great TIme

Every time I go to this museum, I love it. The kids never seem to want to leave. There are a lot of hands on experiments for everyone to do. This is both an educational and FUN experience.

cool...for the little ones

it was very hands on, but 80% of it was for kids under 13. as adults we couldnt get into a lot of the displays, but the kids had a blast.

My kids love it!

I have 3 kids: a 10 year old boy who loves everything associated with science; a 6 year old boy who is very active; and a 3 year old girl who just wants to play and have fun. All 3 absolutely love the museum! There is something there for everyone - even parents. They loved it so much that we became members.
