Mixed Emotions
Here's the thing with Blossom: If you're going to a concert (and for the sake of this review, "concert" shall mean a major label recording artist, and not the Cleveland Orchestra.), and you have seats in the pavilion, you are in for a TREAT! the sound in that pavilion is absolutley second to none. Incredible.
However, if you get up from your seat, it is very hard to hear the band as you walk around.
Also, there are not enough restrooms available to accommodate a sold-out concert crowd. Having to wait close to 30 minutes to use the restroom when I've paid over $50 for a ticket to see an artist is annoying. And since I wasn't in the pavilion (obviously), I couldn't hear very well.
Parking at Blossom is a nightmare. Plain and simple. True, they don't charge to park like some venues do, but frankly, I'd rather spend the $10 and work with people who know what they're doing, and are equipped to handle a crowd. From the time we pulled in to Blossom to the time we parked our car, it had taken over 40 minutes. Considering I only live about 50 minutes from Blossom, this pretty much doubled my drive time, which I find to be beyond excessive.
As an active concert goer, I understand crowds mean traffic, and that crowds mean waiting in line. Nothing is perfect, and I accept that as well. But if Blossom wants to continue to bring in major artists at hefty ticket prices, I feel that changes need to be made to accomodate the ticket holders who are paying these prices.
