Our Lady Of Lourdes Grotto
Deep into the Bronx lies this serene shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes that one would expect to find somewhere in the European countryside rather than in one of the world's most populous urban areas. Built in 1929, at the request of the pastor of the nearby St. Lucy's Roman Catholic Church, the small stone grotto quickly became the object of pilgrimages from not only New Yorkers, but people from across the United States. Even today, the faithfuls swear by the healing properties of the water.
I have booked a trip to Lourdes ,France through HotelsnTours.com we had a great time and this whole trip was amazing. France is probably one of the finest countries we have ever visited and specially Lourdes
I would definitely recommend this Lourdes package to any one.
This was a very moving and spiritual sight. Beautiful for anyone even if you are not of Catholic faith. The place is very serene and the gift shop was an added plus. I am so glad a place like this exists so close to where I live. I would love to make another trip there very soon.
