I lived there for a couple of years. I loved the city, the grit, the grime, the culture, the diversity. ALL of it! Was a thrill to be in the city. Nothing/no place like it on earth. Appreciate the experience with an open mind and heart. NYC will embrace you back!

Time Square was a wonderful experience for our family, which included my daughter and 2 teenaged friends. It was energetic, full of life. I have watched the New Years Eve Special on television, since I was a child, don’t think I could handle that crowd but for a June vacation it was perfect. I was fascinated by all the lights. We had oysters on the half shell at one of the outside cafes, at the end of the day. Loved it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great vacation. New York City Rocks…

Time Square always a blast but the best thing I like about New York is the great food! Stayed at a great boutique hotel Affinia Manhattan very large rooms, great hotel, staff and in the heart of everything! Did the double decker red bus which was tons of fun. The only bummer is you had to make reservations to see ground zero to get a ticket. You could not see the memorial without having a ticket to get in. For people that do not plan ahead it really sucked! We felt it has become a tourist attraction for the city:-( . I am sure in the near future the memorial will only be seen if you have paid!!!!!!!!

last year, at ts new year eve, out of this world! i can die now. un lady push me hard saying i was to close, ummm. she was a visitor. this city moves fast. i love it. if ur are old this is not for u.i ashed questions and new yorkers help me out. LIVES NY

To those of you who have reservations about going to New York, take it from someone who lived in the area for over 30 years: GO!!!! yes, some people are rude, but it is part of the character of this city. think about it, if you never got any sleep, would you be the nicest person on earth? New York is the city that never sleeps.....nuff said. Part of the appeal of New York is its grunginess, i mean look at Chinatown, Canal Street, TIME SQUARE!! but then look at Rockerfeller Center, Central Park, Bryant Park. THE BEST AND MOST BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN THIS CITY ARE INEXPENSIVE OR FREE. In the middle of all the hustle and bustle, you have the most gorgeous architecture, the crazy drivers, the people trying to make a living. If your expectation is that New York will be like any other place, forget about going. I spent thirty years there and NOT ONCE did i ever go to the top of the Empire State Building. Why would I? I could see it from everywhere I went. I spent my time walking the city, enjoying its flavor, its smells, everything about it. you have to let it permeate you without letting it consume you. don't know if that makes sense...and hope it helps. I love everything about it. I had to leave for reasons which I could not help, but I will always love the greatest city on earth. The city that never sleeps.

Amazingggg place the atmosphere is so nice, i went with my family and we had a awesome time together it was amazing.

I always dreamed of going to New York, visit time square, but I was so disappointed in my life, it was a big rip off. Who can screw you out of your money. The vendors on the corner were so rude, the taxi cabs were rued and ripped you off. I had a taxi cab that dropped us on the corner of the street instead of at the hotel. I paid $101.00 to see the umpire building, which is nothing to see and paid $26.00 to see Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and there was so much to see there. I am sorry New York is a different country, people are living too fast, charge too much for same products at home and try to rip you off. I went to Washington DC and did not spend 1/8th of what I spent in New York and enjoyed Washington DC so much better. The city was opened, clean, friendly and most of the museums we went in was free. I will go back to Washington, but Good Bye New York.

I love the Cosmopolitan City, the Technology very busy city, and glamour.
