The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York

I took the advise of the review below and went on a ghost hunting tour at the Metropolitan with NYC Ghost Doctors. Incredible-Loved it!

I tried this download to my iphone called Museum Quest. I took a tour around the Museum finding works of Art in the various departments like 19th Century European Painting. The App gave directions to the various artworks and overall the answers which give you detailed info about the art which is very interesting. The whole thing took about 1 hour .It made my visit fun and helped organize my time there. By the way it tells you that you can pay what you wish at the cashier, so I paid far less than the twenty bucks the Met asks for admisssion. So all in all with my $1.99 download and the "savings on my admission" I thought the visit to the Met was a very good value. Next time I will visit some other departments with Museum Quest loaded on my iphone. Its like getting a guided tour from some cool art professors. So if you are visiting the Metropolitan Museum and you have and Apple device try the Museum Quest App to maximize your enjoyment.

I've been to museums all over the world and this is best for it's huge varity of artifacts and the way they are displayed. You can take a walk through civilized history and see what man has created over the centuries. It's a bargain since you pay what you want to get in. Don't try to see it all in one day. It's far too much. Go back a few times and you will enjoy it more. It's location on Central Park is nice since you can walk through the park if your brain gets over loaded from what you will see in the museum.

Me and a few friends went ghost hunting through the MET with New Yor City Ghost Doctors. This was just like the TV shows. Extremely cool!

I purchased merchandise from the on line store, I''ve returned it via certified mail, got my proof of delivery more than 30 days ago,I have filled out and returned all forms and proof of delivery they requested, they won't refund my money because they can't find the items. I have spoken to at least 5 different people, the supervisor is constantly unavailable, and people tell me they do not know the supervisors boss, or phone extension. I am very dissatisfied with this entire experience, and therefore can not recomend a purchase from the museum store.

So many sections, paintings, things, etc. It's so big and the paintings and statues r just amazing!

This is the best Museum I have ever been to. I spent 4 hours walking around and only hit about 1/4 of the place. The Van Goghs and the Monets are a must see. I recommend the audio tour. I also recommend purchasing your tickets online so you can skip that line.

This museum and it's exhibits are unbelievable! Be prepared to spend an entire day here! Just be sure to wear good walking shoes, buy your ticket online (lines are really bad!) and have a great time!
