Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
Walk the flight deck of the 900-foot-long aircraft carrier Intrepid and you will see hundreds of exhibits on aviation, as well as deep sea and space exploration. You can also board the world's fastest passenger jet-Concorde and see dozens of vintage and modern aircrafts parked wing to wing on the flight deck. Experience all this at the Intrepid Museum and more! The inner and outer decks of the Intrepid provide all the facilities for organizing private parties, events and even movie screenings. The stunningly designed interior and the panoramic views on the outside, make the Intrepid a sight to see.
If you want to see something real instead of just museums, can't go wrong here. Go early and tour the concord & submarine first, that way you will not have to wait in line. Bring sunscreen for the flight deck.
i loved this. at first i didnt want to go on; it looks like a navy memorial (for dead people) from the outside. it sort of scared me a little bit. after i (got forced to go) went on, it was AMAZING! there were all kinds of cool planes and facts. i would say the only bad thing about it was the appearance from the outside. Other than that, the intrepid is a MUSTSEE
