Wow!

I visited the Chrysler Building in September 2006 and it felt like a relgious experience.
I arrived in New York at night and I was consciously looking for it as the shuttle bus headed towards midtown. I was not let down! It has an amazing presence from afar. The next day I walked there from midtown and eagerly awaited my first glimpse on foot. It is truly awe inspiring and majestic in terms of architecture. I kept stopping, feeling awestruck that I had realised a dream by being there.
Once inside, the murals in the foyer were stunning and expressed the history of transport. The foyer is the only accessible area to the public as well as downstairs where you will find a series of shops and Grand Central Station train connections.
The exterior however was the most impressive and I vowed to photograph the building whenever I saw it and from whatever angle or distance it happened to be from. I have a stunning collection of photos and my desktop views take me back to what now seems like a dream. The Chrysler Building was one of the highlights of being in the fabulous city that is New York.
