For three generations (since around 1900), members of the Glaser family have baked cookies, cakes and pastries for appreciative Upper East Siders. The shop itself is a delight as long as the line is not too long and the staff is always helpful. The Black and White cookies are considered by many to be some of the best in the city. There are definitely fancier bakeries in the area, but for some nothing else will do.
