On greenmarket days, devoted urbanites gather in Union Square to browse and purchase the finest selection of farm goods available, including fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. In addition to items like herbs, lettuces, apples and potatoes, there are homemade breads and pies, cider and preserves, and numerous other items (depending on the season).
