Orva Hosiery Stores, New York

Changed over to being all shoes, the store looks great!! Similar shoes to Harry's Shoes and Tip Top but on the east side which is convenient for me. Staff is highly trained and know their stuff. They carry Uggs, MBT, ara, mephisto, merrell, rockport, clarks, sas, new balance, converse, nike, saucony, asics, fit flop, beautifeel, noat, birkenstock, kork ease, jack rogers, taryn rose, bruno magli, and much more. Great assortment! Highly recommend shopping there.

I've been here a few times. Most shoes are over $100, so I definately think about it before shopping here. I go mainly when I need a good pair of shoes that will last me a long time and I dont mind paying a good amount for them. Overall I'm satisfyed with the store, it is what it is, not really a bargain shoppers store. But if youre looking for quality shoes, from all the brands like Cole Haan and Rockport this is a good place to go. The store is in the upper east side on 86th street and Lexington. The old store carried clothing, now the new orva carries men's women's and children's shoes only. They remodeled the store and it looks much nicer. They have name brand, quality shoes. I bought a pair of Privo's and love them. Am thinking of going back for some winter boots. The staff is friendly when you go in properly dressed like you live in the area. I've seen mostly male salesmen now, and theyre ok, seem to know their shoes. Better quality shoes than Aldo across the street, less fashion, more function focused I think.

I just wanted to start by saying to thoese people that have a negitve remark get a life!!!!!.orva does not need stupid..... first of if you dont have a reciet.What makes you think you can get a refund,DAAAAAAA.Think that would be the smart thing to do.The staff at orva are great.If they dont have the shoe in stock they specal order and it comes a fast as one week.They will do GREAT !!!!!!!!!! First i would like to say.. the reviews of old orva aren't all true.. especially from personal experience.. The brand new Orva Shoes is great.. customer service is excellent.. Sales people, Management, and cashiers were all friendly. The store has bright lighting a good mix of music for almost everyone. And on top of that they have the largest selection of men's, women's children's shoes on the upper east side..It's no longer the cluttered store it used to be.. and Good luck to the new look Orva. I liked the fact that I called the store to see if they carried a certain model of a shoe and they did. The lady on the phone was polite and offered to hold the shoes for me til I got there the next day. I went there the next day and my shoes were there waiting for me. The staff was ok. The appearance of the store was ok, seemed too cluttered but my overall experience was good.

this place is horrible and very greedy. a store that is there to just help themselves and careless about customers. i would advise people to find a better and more helpful store! as am i!

I purchased a pair of Nike Shox Nz sneakers at the price of $109.99, that had 4 column cushioning in which one column colllapsed .Nike's return guiidelines clearly states that their authorized retail accounts accept returns with workmanship or material flaws.But I was denied this priviledge. I am writing this during my 40 minutes on hold with Nike. Bad customer service

On August 21, 2007, my baby sitter was shopping with my 2 year old son at Orva. My son had to use the bathroom. The store manager of the shoe department told my sitter that she could not take my son to the bathroom, but that the manager would take him. This proceeded in the store manager closing the bathroom door with my son and pulling down his pants. I was shocked and appaled. This was poor judgment on their behalf. My complaint is based on the customer services of this store. I want it to go on record how improper and apppalling their customer service is. The fact that the store would believe that it is proper to take other peoples children to the bathroom is puzzling to me. I do not understand stores that are in residential neighborhoods and have a policy against using their bathrooms when you are patronizing their store. I want to make sure that this situation never happens to anyone else.

Always on top of the tend... I like shopping there...Get anything from North Face Coats to Junk Food Tee shirts...They also have a great shoe department.

I really like ORVA they have it all in one store. It is a one stop shop! Basically i can buy anything from shoes, clothing, bags, belts, stockings, sunglasses, ect. They have it all! I buy stuff for myself and my daughter. I know the staff there and they always treat me great and help me find whatever i need. I Highly recommend going there, your going to love it!
