Angelica's Herbs, New York

Beyond the great selection of herbs and oils that others have mentioned, the hidden treasure of Angelica's is the proprietor, Chantal. She is a doctor of homeopathic medicine and extremely knowledgeable. One other reviewer felt pressured to accept a consultation, but, I've never experienced that. However, we did consult with her a year ago, and her insights and advice were very helpful. I recommend her highly if you're looking for natural treatments for some issue. NP /NYC

Decent selection of herbs, but was told by the counter guy (after being ignored for ten minutes whilst finishing his paper) that - in true Tom Cruise fashion - I don't understand the reasons behind my skin condition, and he does, and if I would just pay for a consultation, they could cure me. As I was paying, he was yelling these things at me, becoming more and more irate the more I laughed, and told me I was "playing with fire...full of poison!!" Alternately, right down the street is Flower Power, where the people are nice, the selection is fabulous, and no one yells or pushes anything at you.

although Angelica's probably has whatever you're looking for (and even if they don't) it's a very interesting shop. Nonetheless, it say that the sales help lacks luster and personality is putting it midly! they boader on rude.

RIP-OFF. Although the selection is incredible, prices are ridiculously high. I’ve found items in other locations for ¼ of the price.
