Garden of Eden

These stores used to be one of the best for fine foods, unusual delicacies in NYC. Sad to say, their prices are going up and the quality of the store in general is on a sharp decline ... worse yet, at a time when others are eager and prepared to take their place in the gourmet marketplace. That is the problem with so many businesses. They get a niche in a community, rapidly spread, open new stores, develop a reputation, then they settle inevitably to screw over the faithful customers who got them where they are in the first place, taking with them their good name. Pathetic. When they are finally in bankruptcy, where most eventually end up if they do not take stock and pull up the sock ... they wonder what went wrong ... looking to blame everyone but themselves. Come on, man, the writing is on the wall.
