Excelsior, New York

We had a great time in NYC. The Excelsior was very accommodating. We booked months ago and arrived and checked in without a hitch. We had trouble with our keys de-magnetizing at one point but this was remedied with a quick trip to the front desk. We heard all the stories of bed bugs in NYC before our arrival and were a bit concerned. Once there we were on the look out but saw nothing. NYC doesn't seem to be aware that they have a problem with bed bugs and we did not have the first moments trouble at the Excelsior. We had help with our bags and the maid services were wonderful. We did not make it to the hotel bar or the restaurant so no comments as to those accommodations. We used the subway system as our primary means of travel and the 81st museum access is great. Its close and easy and the express lines stop there all day and night. We do recommend this hotel....all four women travelers made it unanimous.
