Hard Rock Cafe, New York City

The reviewer that said "Great food and atmosphere" gave the exact same review for Planet Hollywood as Hard Rock Cafe. I think Hard Rock has better food but both places have slow wait staff. You go for the atmosphere, not the food/service.

My family and I visited the Hard Rock Café NY for their Breakfast Buffet. The price was $16 for an adult and $8 for a child, which I found to be okay for New York. The food is basic (eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast sticks), the pastry was cold like it was just taken out of the refrigerator, but the fruits and cereals were good. However, the server was just awful; the server was nowhere to be found for our drinks. We had to seek for her in order to get our drinks and similarly when trying to get our re-fills. When I received the bill, I finally understood why we needed to seek the server instead of them coming around; the tip was already included on the bill (18%). To top it all, we had a child that was getting charged as an adult (keep an eye on that). Overall, I felt that this was a one-time visit.

The hard rock cafe is the best restaurant. It has awesome food, great ambiance, and is very cool! When i went with all of my friends, we all loved it. We had so much fun!

The place was filled with music and an atmosphere of fun. The treasures from celebrities are unreal. There is an amazing wall of guitars like you have never seen guitars displayed before. The food was great, and the drinks were too!

Great atmosphere, lots to see while you wait to be seated. The food was good, the service is not fast, and the music is too loud that you can't have a conversation. My teen aged kids thought it was the best.

My boyfriend and I visit the ciy often and we never get tired of going to the Hard Rock Cafe. The atmosphere alone is worth the wait. It is best to arrive around 4 or 4:30 of you don't want to wait a long time. The wait however is not boring because you are able to look at the walls, which are covered in music memorabilia. Once you are seated the waiters and waitress are super friendly, and you are able to wonder around the restuarant looking at the various music things. The food is simply amazing and I recommend anything from a burger to ribs to steak to chicken fingers. You can't go wrong with any of the food. Dessert is a MUST! If you love chocolate get the chocolate cake or brownie sundae. We recommend Hard Rock Cafe 100%!

just loved the buzz of the place, so different from home but still felt like a local.

The newer Hard Rock Cafe located in Time Square is great. The food is always good and atmosphere is always fun! If you get there between 11am and 12 noon for lunch you will most likely not have to wait. If you do have to wait there is tons to look at.

the best part was our waiter, Victor. He really made us feel welcome and who cares about the food, we'll take him for desert!!!! p.s. Jokes on you now Victor--Guess Who!

The music was so loud that my two TEENAGERS complained. The spinach dip was room temperature, and not good. Both kids' hamburgers were pink, and when I asked them to cook them more, the waiter took a look at them and said he "didn't see a problem". I had to insist, informing him (which he should know) that undercooked ground beef can make you really sick... I would never go here again.
