Kokopelli Rafting Adventures
If you're itching for adventure in Santa Fe, call Kokopelli Rafting Adventures and go river rafting! You can book half day, full day, or overnight trips that include class II and III rapids. The two-day trip to the Taos Box and the Lower Rio Grande Gorge is a trip to remember. Prices range from $50 for a half-day run to $324 for the two-day trip. The company provides all the equipment and guides. If you are looking for something a little calmer, inquire about their kayaking tours.
They gave us directions to the wrong place, and then they only gave us a half refund even though it was their fault that the directions were bad! Plus, the people working there and the owner were very rude and wouldnt work with us!
Went with Kokopelli on a float trip down the Rio Grande Racecourse, about an hour north of Santa Fe. It was a well done family outing. I had a blast and felt safe with my 8 year old daughter. I would highly recommend them.
Everything about our full day Browns Canyon trip on July 2 was incredible! Elisha, our guide, was fun, engaging, and obviously experienced. Her great attitude and concern for safety made the whole group feel comfortable and confident in some pretty big water. The river was awesome and the entire experience with Kokopelli impressed us all- the lunch, the equipment, and most of all the people!
I can't recommend them highly enough and am looking forward to our next trip Kokopelli.
Our guide for the day Colbey was very knowledgable of the river, and the windy conditions that were present the day of our trip. Colbey made sure he had the proper equipment to expertly control our raft. There were other rafting companies there that day, and a couple of them had turned their raft over. The water was about 40 F that day...brrrrr. It was because the guides had their short oars and didnt have as much control as our guide Colbey had with longer oars. We recieved very good instruction on shore so that when we got in a position like that, we would be prepared, and we were. Our group had the times of our lives that day. My wife and I were first timers as was one of the other guests on the raft that day. Id recommend Kokopelli for any size group, ask for Colbey. He's the greatest !
The pictures taken the day of our trip were also fantastic, Im purchasing the whole set. My opinion of this company would be 5 stars, but if I could give em a 10, I would.
Thank you Kokopelli for memories that will last a lifetime !
Rafting Brown's Canyon with Kokopelli was a fantastic experience: safe, fun and intimate. Unlike the larger companies—whose massive flotillas we passed on the water—Kokopelli's small operation was tailored to the needs of the customers. Our two guides were experienced, friendly and in love with rafting. I also learned a great deal about the folklore and local landmarks along Brown's Canyon. Thanks Kokopelli!
Excellent Trip. The guides we're all very friendly, and skilled. The Trip was very splash and active, perfect for my family! I would highly recommend Kokopelli and look forward to another trip with my family! It was a great addition to our trip to Santa Fe.
We had a fantastic rafting experience this past Sept. I was kind of shaking in my boots about the whole thing, as I am not really a mountain gal and my husband had to cancel out of the trip at the last minute--so I went off for a 3 day 2 night trip with my two very eager beaver boys, 8 and 7 yrs. of age. Kokopelli was really fantastic though. The trip was absolutely gorgeous, so it even won a city girl over. I am happy to say that the food was completely delicious, which I was surprising to me! French toast, pancakes, tacos--burgers--yum Our guide Kelly was so experienced, safety oriented and fantastic with the kids (she had them playing some very fun games--one was a karate type game that they still play). The whole trip was very organized and they had our locations pre-selected where we'd camp-out so they were all lovely and interesting places and had some fishing, or trails, etc. Anyway, I would completely raft again. We went in the late summer for lower rapids since there were kids, which was exciting, but I would feel safe with Kokapelli with bigger rapids too since they are so experienced. Sooo fun! Mary
The weather wasn't great on the day of our trip, but the staff was cheerful and professional, and really made us forget about the weather! Good food, too. This company seems to really care about the environment in how they go about business.
