Whether looking for collector quality Native American arts and crafts, or Route 66 souvenirs, you can find it all under one roof. Be sure to look down at the tile work in the entryway when you visit; those are real silver dollars. This store has one of the largest inventories in town of Kachina Dolls. Each doll is handmade by native artists and no two are identical. The glass cases are filled with Native American jewelry in many styles and designs. Colorful Navajo rugs show off the talents of creative local artists, and Route 66 memorabilia adorns the counter tops.

turquoise motherlode !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/08
They have the standard tourist trinkets but besides that have the most outstanding selection of turquoise jewelry and southwestern home furnishings you can find in Albuquerque. The salespeople are super friendly and helpful and will spend as much time as you need to make your selections. A special cutout in the floor allows you to view actual artists creating jewelry at there work-benches. Don't waste your time anywhere else !! Bill & Dee--Penna.

Superb!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/07
I love this place! Everytime I visit Albuquerque I visit at Skip's. You really haven't shopped in Albuquerque if you haven't gone to Skip's. You need to plan your day around a visit there since they are only open in the daytime but otherwise it is well worth the time. They have the widest selection of jewelry I have seen at such great prices. I think they are closed on Sundays. Have fun shopping at Skip's!!!

Love this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
Excellent selection at unbeatable prices. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Beats any price you find in Santa Fe, although you don't get the experience of the plaza. Only downside is that their selection is so big that it is difficult to see everything.

Great shopping experience & repair work
By Sharon K, 08/20/07
I was met by friendly knowledgeable people. I enjoyed shopping the wide variety of jewelry items. I needed a bracelet repaired that had lost a silver leaf. They were able to reproduce one. I received my bracelet in the mail in better condition than I left it. It arrived on time and I felt the price was fair. Whenever I return to Albuquerque I will want to stop in and shop again!

Could spend all day (and all my money) there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/07/06
Amazing selection of Native craftsmanship and incredible prices. Mostly southwestern, but a decent representation of other areas' arts as well. Skip Maisel's and The Palms are two places I always visit when I'm in Albuquerque.

I want to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/06
I discovered Skip Maisel's almost by chance. What a wonderful discovery. After purchasing gifts I found I had to go back again. The sales staff are friendly and helpful and the selection is unbelieveable. I came home with leather, pottery and lovely jewelry, all at very reasonable. My friends all admire my purchases. If I ever get back to Albuquerque it will be my first stop!

Simply the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/05
Excellent selection, great prices, amazing staff. This is the real deal for Native American jewelry. Skip's refuses to sell imitations or anything made overseas. While we were there, a number of artists came in to deliver their wares to the store. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours or more if you want to see it all.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/04
I have been shopping at this GREAT STORE for about 6 yrs. and have found it to be the best for Native American Crafts that i can find anywhere. Their prices are very good compared to some of the other Shop's in this area. When i am in Albuquerque i always drive downtown just to shop there.
