Coaches Sports Grill
For good cheer, good libations and good food go to this popular, neighborhood bar and grill. Folks from nearby UNM, hospitals and doctors offices frequent this place to watch Monday Night Football, the playoffs, or weekend afternoons of car racing, golf tournaments and tennis matches. The menu offers everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to 12 ounces of crab legs. The 10-oz. prime rib is nothing short of fabulous and burgers, salads and various snacks are also excellent choices. Happy hour features complimentary salsa and chips, as well as enchiladas.
We just happened to stumble on this place while in Albuquerque. We went back more than once during our 4-day stay because of the very friendly waitstaff and the atmosphere. Being older than 40, we thought that they probably wouldn't appreciate us being in there, but we felt so welcomed. As far as we could see EVERYONE was treated this way. I would highly recommend this place!
This is an excellent place to watch soccer games based on the fact that there are not many places in Albuquerque which show Europen soccer games. I hope one day there will be places in Albuquerque showing all the UEFA Champions League games, upper stage UEFA Cup games, world cup qualification games in addition to the world cup finals, and the Euro cup qualifications and finals.
