This is a family-owned and operated pizzeria with an upbeat atmosphere. Massive pillars preside over booths and the front and side-panel of a Mercedes Benz serves as a sidebar and soda fountain. Choose from gourmet pizzas big and flavorful calzones, tasty sandwiches, salads, pasta and desserts. Beer and wine is served and if you have a craving for something sweet, try a piece of cheesecake.
The pizza, the salad and the chocolate dessert are so delicious they keep you coming back for more, and bringing more of your friends, and they bring their friends and no wonder they are always busy. Great food, great atmosphere, great location, even for a vegetarian like me and my friends. I can even keep up with the English Premiere League, cool!
This pizza is delicious. The crust sets it apart from the other pizzas in Albuquerque or abroad, a wonderful product. It doesn't resemble any sort of pre-packaged pizza dough yet get with many of the other "chain" restaurants.
Great food, fast. Wonderful atmosphere. The pizzas are great but also try the sandwiches, calzones, & salads-it's all some of the best I've eaten! Pizza crust is the chewy type & the slices are huge. There are a lot of toppings available.
Best to visit on a weeknight (weekend evenings are dominated by college folk and service is slower,)or order to go on Fri-Sat evenings. Also very busy with the lunch crowd. Only downside is there's no delivery. Call before you leave from work & it will be ready. There's a sports bar room & they serve beer and wine as well. A must try.
We thought we would like everything about this place. We are in town for a soccer tournament and this place was recommend to us by a local team. On of our parents called early in the day to see if they could seat our 40 people. They said they could especially if we showed up around 5:30. They did tell us at that time that they did not take reservations. So we checked out their website and it said they did take reservations. So.....the parent called 10 minutes before we left our hotel (we were only 8 miles away)and confirmed with them that we could come and have seating. They said they were wide open. We also asked about the reservations since the website stated they did take them. The employee said that they would need to correct that because it was wrong.
We get there about 10 minutes later and the line is out the door and there are no seats, much less room for 40. We asked to speak to the manager and it took forever for him to visit with us. When he did, he was not very friendly or helpful. Pretty much told us that they can seat up to 50 in their place. Also told us that their website didn't say that and then later he changed his story to they were actually changing the whole website right now. He did not offer any assistance or even apologize.
So we took our 40 people and left. 1 person had already paid so I asked the manager for a refund and instead of doing it he told me he just checked his website and it didn't say that - hmmmmm - now I just checked and it seems that the whole section that was up earlier is now blanked out - a total white space.
We walked down the street to a WONDERFUL place that totally took care of us!!!
Saggios needs to learn about customer experience and at the very least show some empathy when your clients have problems instead of make excuses and call them liars.
Just wandered in for a lunch and were very pleasantly surprised! The interior is eye candy - so much to look at. The service was casual, friendly, and quick. And oh....the food! I ordered a calzone which was the best (by far) I have had in Albuquerque. My companion ordered a lunch special calzone and salad and ate every bite. The portions were large and very satisfying. We also enjoyed dessert but had to take it home...far too full to finish. The cheesecake and cannolli were first rate. I will spread the word about this jewel (prices are great for students too!) and can't wait to return.
This place has awesome food, its an excellent place to get good food for a fair price. visit here for breakfast(breakfast calzones ex., potato egg chile cheese) Make sure and visit. If you dont want to go because there is a sports game on that you dont want to miss, dont worry because Saggios has 10 or more tv's with almost every sports game on for that night.
