Large facility, walls for all levels
By KT, 08/12/05
The Mission Cliffs is a great spot for rock-climbing. There are tons of walls there, and the friendly, helpful staff will rent you any equipment you need. As you progress, you attempt to make it up the wall only using certain colored handholds. Various routes are given a "difficulty" rating, so you know what you're getting into. At some spots, the walls curve inward or even almost upside down, so there's plenty to keep you challenged. There's a separate area for bouldering if you don't have a partner to belay for you. Prices seem pretty competitive. It's a fun way to spend the afternoon!
