Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

Its a red bridge. Don't see what is so amazing about it. There are other bridges in SF that span a greater span and are prettier to look at and are more interesting from an engineers perspective. Get a picture to show your friends and move straight back into the city for far more interesting things...

We went on a tour of San Francisco and went to the Golden Gate Bridge to take some pictures. The weather is just perfect during this time. Not so hot, cold or windy. We took several pictures at the Golden Gate Bridge and the view is great. There's a gift shop that we also visited there and the customer service is great. Actually, this is only a place to take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge and view the ocean and city from the top.

Great to finaly see this in person. Looks like a postcard! For a great experience try to see it both in the daytime and at night with all the lights.

Golden Gate Bridge is the most beautiful bridge on earth. With its picture postcard views of San Francisco from the MArin side, or the view of the Marin Headlands from the San Francisco side, it willknock your socks off. You can walk across the bridge and view Alcatraz on your way across.

Just take a drive in your convertible, with the top down, as long as it is not raining, and you are in for the best views of the Gate! The Golden Gate is the best bridge to cross and I agree with the Travel Channels Top 10 bridges. Nothing feels like you are in San Francisco until you have popped the $5 and taken the drive. I have yet to walk the bridge, but everything that I have seen and watching the people do it, makes me want to.

the Golden Gate Bridge�s toll for a common car in 1937 was only 50 cents, but in this day and age it�s a whopping $11.25 to cross, but fortunately, the tolls are only collected on cars going into San Francisco.

That place is the worst tourist attraction ever! You can't do anything there but walk in a complete white-out!

There was not one thing about San franciscothat we didn't like. The golden gate bridge makes you think about all the excitment of people going to exotic places in the far east and reaiizing what a wonderful sight it has to be for travelers returning to the USA.

I was new to Bay Area and was always wishing to visit Golden Gate. I was always wondering why they call the bridge as Golden Gate Bridge. I was thinking it might be the bridge made out of gold or there might be soemthing related to gold near to that bridge. When I visited, I was surpised to see that it was far far beyond compaision though there wasn't any metallic gold but a golden marvelous piece of structure. I read the history behind this bridge and its purpose. Indeed this bridge is golden gate which reflects the remarkable history, the golden era of industry in and around SFO. There are no words to explain the masterpiece created on the sea during 19th Century. It reflects, How efficient were engineers during that period?? How dedicated and determined were the people who contributed in getting that bridge. Indeed these contributions made are golden and will remain golden for ever. Its awful to have a sight of such a structure that can be indeed deemed to be golden and its necessarily need to be called as Golden gate bridge.
