Description:

This is run by the East Bay Model Engineers Society, the oldest and largest clubs of its kind in the world. The club, founded in 1933, moved the museum to its Point Richmond location, across from the Miller Knox Regional Shoreline entrance, in 1985. You'll find a large, well-lit museum, filled with model trains from throughout time.

Model Railroad Fun

As a model railroad enthusist I like the people, atmosphere and great track layout design. If you are interested in model railroading you will find a storehouse of ideas, expertise and help in model railroad building. The Golden State Model Railroad Museum is high on my list of favorite railroad excursions. Anyone interested in model railroading would not be disappointed and should make a trip to visit. You'll usally get lots of attention from the club members and pick up intimate secrets to model building. Good wholesome fun.
