Lombard Street, San Francisco

Spending a few days in Frisco sightseeing, trrying to do all the things one wants to do, i.e. China Town, Golden Gate, the Cable cars, Alcatraz, AND the Lombard Street experience. Unfortunately, That particular section of Lombard, which we drove from end to end, somehow evaded us!! From the Coit tower all the way down to the Presidio , and embarrased as hell, even asked for directions from two or three people and yet we never found the "curviest street in the world", I guess we'll blame it on the fog and the rain during our June trip. IT"S in the MIDDLE of the darn thing, who knew. Sure wish I looked at this sight before going!!!

You'll never see a street like Lombard street in your life. It is so picturesque, and the views from on top is amazing. THis has to be a top-5 thing to do in SF.

It was so different from any street I've ever seen. GREAT TOWN!

I loved this place! I counted the stairs down and there were like 500 but they don't seem like a lot. And there are like 450 stairs up. IT'S PURELY AWESOME!!

i luv SF Lombard is wonderful with the landscaping and the 'clean fresh' air! ps the NBA is rigged!

I loved walking and driving down Lombard Street. The world's most crooked street is lined with beautiful landscaping and homes. If you visiting San Francisco it is a must see! It is a easy stop on trolley cars (F). Make sure to bring your camera/video camera to capture your moment.

Too man-made, symmetrical and false. More like a carefully constructed driveway, accompanied by some equally tidy gardening either side

I thought the landscaping was just breathtaking. Long wait to drive down 1 block! Feel sorry for the people who live here having a parade of people driving through their yards 24/7. But we did it twice!!

Loved everything.. I even bought an artist proof Kinkade painting of Lombard St. That says it all. Go if you can well worth it. The city is beautiful and the food is wonderful. Espically seafood. The cable cars are a wonderful experience in itself. I try to go once a year.

It was fine... for a street. You get to say you've been there, done that. And 15 minutes later, you're on your way.
