DON'T EVER GO THERE!!!!!!

If you are under 18, ghetto and have no sense of fashion or value, then this is the place for you. Even the Macy's is awful - but why invest in a place that no one with any taste is going to shop. I quote from a reviewer who loves the place, "i like that every body be knowing every body and its a kool place to kick it and stuff." Yea, that is about the mentality of the clientele and the shops that cater to them. No one seems to have any self-respect, much less respect for anyone else. As a result, most of the shopkeepers (I mean Swap Meet Keepers) are rude and unplugged. Are there any malls in the East Bay that even approximate a half-way decent mall in Los Angeles. This mall is a cesspool. If the people of this community want a real mall, i.e., Pleasanton, then we must make our voices heard and more importantly, our dollars! Don't shop there ever - not even to run in for a pair of panty hose. We are the only ones who spend money - the hood rats, baby mamas and wanna be ganstas surely don't. So boycott the mall, especially Wal-Mart, until they start putting in some decent stores. There is a lot of money in this community - Let's start using it to our advantage.

hilltop's pros and cons
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/06
go early. be gone by 11:30. week days are best. the body shop, penny's, macy's, anchor blue, and sears, are nice, and you don't have to go into the actual mall if you don't want to. otherwise, the clientelle gets smarmy. vendors can be pretty rude because of trying to fend off the afore mentioned smarmy types who apparently shop lift frequently. But if your militant about your shopping style, you can get in and out with a bargain. really, sun valley is much nicer. or stone ridge.

Lacking Substance but....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/05
The mall is okay but there's better. If you need a quick fix, this mall will do. If your looking for that special something...good luck. A positive note is that there's a really nice play area for the kids located in the center of the mall. If you need to find a place indoors for the kids to let loose, this place is ideal. ;)

Eh
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/13/05
Tailored to teenaged girls who like cheap, skimpy clothing and trashy pumps or boots. For the gentleman, a nice selection of ridiculously baggy hiphop clothing and "pimpwear" (fedoras, zoot suits). Tons of shoes, though. Good for shopping on those occasions when you don't want to spend a lot.
