Pelican Inn, Muir Beach

Pelican Inn is a fun choice after a trip to Muir Woods, or just as a getaway from the city. It looks like an English manor and the food inside continues the illusion with Yorkshire pudding, bangers and a succulent mixed grill. This being Marin, there are a few other choices on the menu, such as escargots and scampi. The Sunday brunch features a buffet with an excellent selection of egg dishes as well as prime rib and smoked ham. There is a kids menu, too, making it a great place for families to join the other upscale clientèle who congregate here. The mood is casual and the service quick and personal.
