Midnight Sun is an excellent place to turn to, if your TV is on the fritz! Or if you crave some company while watching your favorite show. Large screens adorn each corner of the bar tuned to popular network shows and dance videos on weeknights. Weekends are more social with cruising and mingling taking priority over channel surfing, though you will always find sports or another diversion flickering quietly behind the bar's action.

All lies!!!

The Midnight Sun is one of the best places to hang out with friends in the castro. As far as the bartenders assaulting a customer and yelling racial slurs............NEVER HAPPENED. who ever wrote that should be ashamed of themselves. Sad!

Lots of ATTITUDE

The Midnight Sun crowd is mostly 35-55. The crowd is very cliquey and unfriendly. The only people I meet and chat with there are from out-of-town. The bartenders are all great. The video concept isn't anything special anymore though - they really should try being more creative with the concept.

Best Bar in the City!

If you want a friendly place to hang, meet new friends, and catch some of the best music and comedy videos, along with a great staff, go to the Midnight Sun. It's the first place I head to when in the City by the Bay and the last place I stop before heading to SFO. Don't miss it!
