Don't bother ordering food unless you like canned beans and bland flavors. Chips and Salsa are fine but not great, and the prices are reasonable. The sole reason for coming here should be to get hammered on the Jumbo Bucket sized Margaritas under the tree on the spacious deck. I've had better Mexican food at Taco Bell...and that is really sad. Here's a clue...if you don't see any Mexicans eating there....don't bother, keep driving up Buford Highway to any number of Authentic Mexican places.
Awesome Food - Awesome Drinks - Awesome Staff. A visit home to Atlanta is not complete without a stop here. Just last week we had 22 of us in for dinner. We sat outside under the huge tree and were treated like Royalty. Looking for a fun place for dinner and drinks - good prices and a very accommodating staff -go to Poncho's.
This place is by no means a 5 star restaurant. However, it is a very good mexican restaurant. They have a cool patio built around an enormous tree.
The frozen margaritas are good and the strongest I have ever tried. They are more like green frozen tequila. On the rocks are not as strong but are very good.
The food is very good. The salsa and cheese dip are above average. The best thing about this restaurant is that they actually spice their food. The fajitas actually taste like the meat was marinated and spiced unlike other places where it just tastes grilled. Very good refried beans and mexican rice also.
I highly recommend this place.
