Tea House, Grand Junction

This is one of my very favorite places. Always when we go, the servers and greeters are super friendly, happy, and enthusiastic. The garlic shrimp is to die for. Sauteed green beans are fantastic. The buffet is very good, and the menu items are excellent, because they are prepared fresh for you. Service is fast. Spouse always orders sweet and sour chicken or pork, and says it is the best he has ever had. The tea is also very good. If the buffet doesn't please you, tell Patrick and he will bring you whatever you want. At least he does for us.

I never paid $20 for a stomach ache before. When we walked in the greeter opened the door and shut it in our face getting distracted by something, but that was just the beginning. The a/c was broken, and it felt swampy. We were barely greeted by an impatient waitress, and every time she was called to the back we heard yelling. Then when we went to the back to eat the buffet it looked like they hadn t restocked since lunch. There was barely any food, and this was at 7pm! What was there looked like it had health-code violation written all over it. It was barely edible, and I almost broke my tooth on the stale wonton. Never going back, ever.

We go here at least once a week. Great food- Great lunch prices- Lunch portions are excellant for the price. Dinner portions are huge. One of the servers - Patrick is always happy, and upbeat, he is definitly an asset to the restaurant.
