Blue Mango Thai Cuisine, San Jose

Not bad for lunch, food came out relatively quick. Lunch menu I hope is smaller than their normal dinner menu. Spicy scale is 1 to 10, 10 being hottest. I tried the 10, and I found it lacking, had to add chili sauce. I went back a second time and tried the 15. Sadly I still added 3 extra spoons of chili sauce. If you want is spicy, don't come here!

I tried their 'spicy waterfall beef', pretty good taste and i like it. The fork I got is not very clean though. The ration of Performance/Price is good overall. Good to try.

Good Thai food. Decently priced. Good service. Give it a go for lunch if you're in the area.

I have eaten almost 90 meals there. When I am not on a diet or not broke I eat here whenever I can. The first time I went I had a bad experience but I'm glad I came back. I am vegan and order the Peanut coconut curry with tofu and tofu satay for appetizer. The curry fries and sweet potato fries are always good bets too. Service is bad with the new waiters but once they get the hang of it, they end up great. The ladies there remember my order and are very cordial and friendly.

The bill was wrong, everything has sugar, there is no filtered water and the website does not work properly.

The outside and the inside of this restaurant is very simple, very much a family place. But when we were there, we had the best coconut soup we have had in this area, probably anywhere outside Thailand. NIce'n'spicy too. I will definitely return.

Visited Blue Mango last weekend. We, as a family, have been happy with our earlier few visits there. Unluckily, the latest visit was likely the last one. We ordered tom yum soup. It was mostly water and very little else. The chicken in the Blue Mango special fried rice was undercooked. The green curry had too much salt. To add to it the restaurant staff was being very impolite.

Rock & Roll Clams was good. Need more seafood on the menu. The set menu was a good deal, you get a sampler of appetizers & good desert selections with a choice of 2 out of 5 items. The basil chicken & pork w/ green beans (Prik King) were average. Space too small, gets really busy and noisy during dinner time so expect slow service.

The food is very good, the service is very slow. Also, we have a group of friends that go out once a month to different restaurants that are in the Entertainment book, there are eight of us. The book clearly states that the establishment should honor three cards for a party our size. However, this place would only take two. We won't be going back.
