Souplantation, Irvine

I had went to this place looking for work, after a month and half. I corresponded about work. And only made to believe that they would be hiring. The store was moderately full, but slow for a lunch rush. Clean areas and food looked properly prepared. Serving islands were fully stocked.

I ate here Sunday, August 17th, 2008. I have eaten here many times before and never had a problem. 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant myself and one other person in my party began to have serious abdominal pain accompanied by emergency diareah. I continued to suffer from this and nausea, feeling hot and tired up until today,Tues the 19th. Funny thing, my accountant was barely able to make our appointment Monday afternoon as she did not feel well, I told her neither did I and the reason why, turns out she also ate at the very same restaurant 7 hours earlier and we both ate completely different foods. I very much enjoy this restaurant and have never had a problem here before. They were very polite when I reported the problem over the telephone and I hope that they will make the necessary changes to prevent this from happening again.

Avoid the Saturday and Sunday Lunch crowds here. Unsupervised parents turn their kids loose in the restaurant creating undue noise and confusion for the usual lunch crowd who just want a quick meal before going to the movies. Food is steady and good during the weekdays. Staff is polite.

Great place to get different kinds of healthy soups and salad. My family never gets enough there. If we have a group more than ten, we definitely choose here for supper.

They have a good seater name, Ayrton, he knows how to take care of you and always is willing to help you with your tray(s) without being asked. They also have a great hostess named Jennifer that likes handling situations when needed most. I like their variety of different meals, soft drinks & Icees as well as desserts. I liked their cesar salad, wonton chicken salad, chicken noodle soup, house chili, mac & cheese.

Souplantation is a great place to eat due to the fact that they made us (my family) feel welcome and right at home. We also liked the way the managers handled this busy night in a organized way. We couldn't help to notice that the place was really clean and neat.
