Frutti DE Mar Grill, Marina

So happy this little gem is in Marina! Excellent food, service and ambiance. My husband & I dined here last night for the first time. Boy did we feel silly for being residents of Marina and having not discovered this wonderful restaurant sooner. I should state my comments below may be compared to any of the 5 star restaurants in our area for food & service. I ordered ala carte & hubby had an entree. We both started with the Insalata della Casa w/ house dressing. One of the best. Also warm basket of fresh bread w/ olive oil & balsalmic vinegar was devoured... I went with cup of the clam chowder and crab cake appetizer and my husband had the Linguini alla Florentina. We like to share and this worked very well for us here. Chowder, not something I usually order as I am usually sorry I took the chance. Again, this is one of the best chowders, if not the best in our area. We both loved my carb cakes & his pasta. We pared all of this with a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. We were both too full for dessert, this time. I highly recommend this restaurant. Price is very fair. My husband & I will soon be considered as regulars , we plan to return often.
