Good food, local hangout, big lunchtime place for working people. Good food, large portions, very much like Tops. No atmosphere, looks like a very old Tastee Freeze. Burgers, Pastrami, Zucchini, salads, mexican food. Try their pastrami sandwich, or one of their salads, or the Asada Taco, it's huge, about $2.99. Indoor eating, patio eating.

The breakfast burritos here are delicioouuss not only that but everything else is really good. Also, fast service!

We LOVE the cheeseburgers here. Be warned that the ambience is pretty bad...

I always get a little nostalgic when visiting Lucky Boy's for one of their great burgers. They serve them like the great burger joints of the 1960's and 1970's. Lightly toasted buns, generous serving of lettuce, a great sauce, etc. You really experience the entire burger, and not just the patty. Their fries are pretty good, too. My kids love them with their chile, but if you won't want gobs of cheese and onions on them, you have to tell them up front. I've also had their breakfast burrito, and it is quite good as well as their carne asada burrito ... and large. They'll really fill you up. Their pastrami sandwiches is also quite good. The only other great burger within about 5 miles of Lucky Boy's is Hi-Life Burger in So. Pasadena, on Fair Oaks Ave. (south of Monterey Road, north of Huntington Drive). Neither will disappoint you if you crave a great tasting burger.

Ha! They're still open! When I was a boy in the late 70's my dad took me to Lucky Boys all the time. I was wondering if that place was still running. They had the Best Pastrami in the Universe. Mmmm, man, I miss that place. I had to stretch my mouth just to get it around the sandwich when I was a kid. Do they still serve Pastrami that good?

It may be a hole in the wall, but they make their food the way it should be - sandwiches stacked high with fresh, great tasting meat and trimmings (add bacon to any sandwich esp. the grilled chicken, it's fabulous). I go back whenever I'm town to get their fried zucchini - I've traveled extensively and I've never had better. They also had the pastrami burger long before Carls Jr.! Go to Lucky Boys and get your money's worth!

I have worked at 3 places in Pasadena and I have gotten people at all 3 places hooked on the breakfast burritos. Even the people that are picky are hooked on them. Dont pay attention to the only one bad review this is the place to go whenever, the ambience is fine I have never seen any gang bangers. Try it you will be hooked on it too, best place to eat in Pasadena.

chili cheese fries! they even offer them w/ pastrami for the adventurous... speaking of which, possibly the best (fast) pastrami sandwich in LA as well...

Well this Place rocks I been driving from Glendale for years to just eat at Lucky Boy… Well great food everything rocks on the menu and I really recommend it and the Greek guy that owns the place reminds me of the soap Nazi on Seinfeld but that’s part of the reason I eat there.
