I have nothing bad to say about this club. The fact that it headlines the best DJs like Victor Dinaire and many others speaks for itself. Even if you can't dance a few drinks and drifting off into space with the music alone is cool!
I absolutely LOVE this club... it's AMAZING! It's the closest thing to Vegas you can find out in San Diego.
On Broadway’ features 5 Rooms of musical fusion. Resident DJ Barry Weaver spinning Progressive house music upstairs, along with some of the hottest DJ’s in the world, will make any night a night to remember. In the Vault, you can check out the hottest mix of Live Music and DJ’s playing the grooviest Rock in town. Downstairs is constanly rotating local & national DJ’s spinning Top 40 & Hip Hop in the Karma Lounge. Resident DJ’s Scott Martin, DJ X-Ray, & Joey Jimenez play 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s in the Ultra Lounge and spin Old School and current Hip Hop in the Gallery Room.
VIP is definately worth the $$$!! Otherwise be sure to arrive early to beat the line! AND make sure you dress to IMPRESS!!
This place is awesome for people who want a break from hip-hop everywhere. They have 4 floors and there is always at least ONE floor with euro-dance or trance in the mix. Drink are quite $$$ ($15-20)and so is the cover ($20).
Try getting on the guest list - it'll save you 40 mins outside on a busy night.
Alright look, San Diego is a kick back drama free, beachy city. We don't do posh clubs and we don't like to dress all fancy to go dancing. Nice club, lame dress code.... snobby clientel. This club was not made for San Diegans it was made for the tourists. If you want to dance don't go here because people are to dressed p to get down. They just walk around and mingle for the most part.
The huge plus is there are different rooms, each with a different dj playing various types of music. Get sick of the same ol' beat, move to another room! Some rooms are overpacked, some are not, but all are good. Service is poor, bartenders need to be better!
Although On Broadway is a little more pricey than most other clubs, the cost is well worth the benefits. Show up early or get on the guest list for a discount. The drinks are made well and hit you hard. The music is good and the place is huge with a bunch of dance floors if you don't like the mainstream stuff they play in the big room. The service is fast so you don't have to wait half an hour to close your tab. Overall, it's a place you'll wanna go back to.
The decor is unique, well-done, and not over the top at the same time. I feel like I am in an upscale club in LA or NYC. The mix of people is always fun--not too much attitude, nor type and style of person and that I like best. Going from one music area to the next all night long....you just can't do that anywhere else under one roof in a hip setting.
