Mastro's City Hall Steakhouse, Scottsdale

This is the best steak in the valley period. And one of the best I've ever had, and I've been to quite a few of the well known steak houses in the US. If you say the steaks here are bad, and poor compared to Morton's or Ruth's Chris, you obviously have a biased opinion or something. Everyone that goes to City Hall is in awe afterwords on how good their steaks are. the bone-In filet will leave you wondering why you ever wasted your time with other steak house like Morton's or Ruth's Chris. This place is absolutely amazing. I find my self just going for early solo dinners on occasions if I'm feeling steak, it's that good.

This used to be Drinkwaters. The food is excellent, but pricey. Nice bar that is packed on weekends. The outdoor seating is small but with great fireplace. Good location for large dinner program as they have several large dinning rooms for private parties

This is, by and far above all the rest, my favorite place to go for a steak in the Phoenix area. The bone-in filet is wonderful. The starter salads and side dishes to share are great. Make sure you try the lobster mashed potatoes!

Could use a check from the health inspector. Poor cleanliness mediorcer food and poor service and horrible management

This is a very upscale fine dining restaurant. The food is delish! But it is very pricey. For my boyfriend and I when there while visiting and our bill was a little over $200. Definitely worth it.

Service is excellent, very nice atmosphere. Prices are very fair. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the steaks are just the best in town! Can you tell I like this restaurant? It used to be one of my favorite haunts.

The Best steak money can buy in Phoenix metro... Location, atmosphere and the food is very exceptional; Impressed by the sea food tower and the bone-in fillet. Little more room to improve the service but still acceptable.

One of the worst meals I have had at a high end place. Luckily for me it was at a work Christmas party a few years back. I am basing my rating off of the expectations of the place. It is obviously better than Black Angus. Not better than Ruth's CHris or Morton's. Not even in the same league. They try to pretend but the quality of food and service isn't even close to the other fine steakhouses. Maybe same price point but that is it. They have a stupid seafood tower. The people I went with were talking that dish up for months and then it arrives and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Maybe it was awesome for the hilbilly's that I work with but nothing on it was great. Cold crab legs and shrimp is something I can get at the grocery store. I have never had a steak like theirs before, and that is a good thing. The steak was bizarre. Tasted kind of sour. I know one thing, that is not good. I gave it such a bad rating because the place is billed as being amazing and it was a huge disapointment. Also, they run out our party so another one could take our room. Is that what you expect from a place that overcharges like them? By paying that much you at least deserve as much time as you want. Fleming's is a much better option as well. Very impressed with that place. Hands down, this is the worst high-end steakhouse I have gone to. I will obviously never return. Maybe I had a bad experience and other people are right. Or this was the place they decided to have one nice meal at and feel that it must be good for what they paid. If you are used to Applebee's and this is a treat dinner, enjoy. But, If you frequent similar establishments then do the smart thing and find an alternative.
